Her research was awarded the Juana de Vega Chair Prize by the University of Santiago de Compostela (2013) and the 5th Miguel Artola Prize by the Contemporary History Association (2013).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"1059\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Her research work focuses on the analysis of generalized or mainstream femininities and masculinities during the Francoism and the Spanish Transition. To this end, she has performed an interpretative analysis of the popular cinema for each historical period, highlighting the potential of films not only to reflect the collective imagery, but also to actively collaborate in its construction. In addition to addressing the study of normative models, she has also put forward the possibility of defiant readings that those products enabled.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1387\" style=\"text-align: left;\">She is currently incorporating new elements into her research: the approach to the history of emotions for the study of the relationship between subjectivities and cinema; an emphasis on masculinities within the framework of gender perspective; and the use of new sources for study within the field of mass-culture production.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1389\" data-end=\"1455\" style=\"text-align: left;\">She is part of the Experiencia Moderna Ikerketa Taldea since 2005.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1457\" data-end=\"1745\">She is Associate Professor in the Department of Contemporary History of the UPV\/EHU where she teaches and coordinates the subject \u201cGeneral History of Social Communication\u201d at the Faculty of Social and Communication Sciences.
