I graduated in Teaching Primary Education and Humanities at the University of Alcalá in 2022. During my undergraduate studies I completed two semesters (2019-2020) at the University of Vienna with an Erasmus Scholarship. In addition, the last year of my undergraduate studies I obtained a Collaboration Grant from the Ministry of Education which allowed me to join for 7 and a half months the research team ‘Lectura, Escritura y Alfabetización’ (LEA) belonging to the area of Historiographic Sciences and Techniques, under the tutorship of Verónica Sierra Blas. At the UPV/EHU I have completed the Master’s degree in Contemporary History and I have started the PhD programme of the same name, under the supervision of Miren Llona and Bakarne Altonaga.
With the title ‘Migrations, language and gender: the integration of immigration in Gipuzkoa (1960-2000)’, my thesis aims to trace, from the perspective of Oral History and the History of Emotions, the role played by learning Basque in the integration of people of migrant origin. To this end, I propose to conduct interviews throughout the territory of Gipuzkoa and, complementing these with archival work, to collect and analyse the construction of migrant subjectivity around language, gender and politics.
